We may not be able to control time as it passes minute-by-minute, but we can control how we invest our time and make the most of it. Here are eight quotes that have helped me to conquer the clock and master time management. I hope they help you.
This quote is important to me because it reminds me that the little things are what will get me the big things. It reminds me that there is a bigger picture.
Who would have thought that a wrestler would have words of wisdom regarding time management? I mean it is pretty simple, yet complex. It is one that we say, “Oh, of course” but yet don’t use it in our schedule.
We all have the same amount of time, every day of the week. I used to wonder how someone got so much done in the same amount of time as me. Now I wonder how people don’t get things done because they are living the same amount of time as me.
This one hit home in a hard way. I don’t know about you, but I have been known for completely overestimating how long a task would take. If you want to know if you have mastered time management, watch and see if you overestimate the time for your tasks. If you are then you have not mastered your time…yet!
If there was one quote that I live by on a daily basis it is this one. Investing means you will get a return on the investment. Think about that for a minute. Spending you will never see a return on. I choose to invest and I get really upset with myself when I catch myself spending time.
Yes, I gotta add a quote from my girl, Rachel. She is so right here…you HAVE to make the time to reach your goals. The hardest part is when you need to work on something and you “don’t feel like it.” I still struggle with this. Honestly, sometimes The Flash, Supergirl or Batwoman are a million times more fun than the task I need to complete to reach my goals. So, I use my shows as my treat/eye candy for completing a task.
It all starts with a plan! If you don’t have a plan, I am going to say it…you may not like it, but here it goes: without a plan life is hard! Life can even suck at times. Creating and using a plan keeps life in order because it gives you a sense of control. Captain Cold Leonard Snart, one of the characters on The Flash says, “Doesn’t matter. There are only four rules you need to remember: make the plan, execute the plan, expect the plan to go off the rails, throw away the plan. Follow my lead and you’ll be fine.” I love this because, in the end, I am still in control of my plan. This is becoming a life motto for me.
I am leaving you with one of the hardest quotes that I live by. It is harsh, but for me it is truth. The truest of truths. This is why time management is such a HUGE deal for me. I truly want everyone to master their time management so that they can master their lives. This is the quote that made me create the Live Beyond Satisfied Planner.
These make me strive to see one million people conquer the clock and their time management so that they can freely live an abundant life, full of love, peace and laughter.
